Decco by Party Up Productions Brings Central Park Inside for Open House ‘Park Here’

Imagine if you could enjoy the peace of picnicking in the park in the dead of winter. That’s exactly what Open House thought when they approached us with the idea to create a Pop Up Park for their January Picnic on Mulberry Street called ‘Park Here’.

We love to transform spaces into completely different worlds. When Open House approached my production company I couldn’t say no to help out.

The cold weather did not discourage Open House from creating their picnic event from happening. We were able to transform the large open space at MulberryStreet into a park with a spring time feel. With faux foliage surrounded the space, and an astro turf grass floor installed; Bistro lights were strung to enhance lighting as guests brought blankets and sat on the grass for a true picnic experience.

The pop-up park received a large amount of attention from the media, including the Huffington Post, Time Out New York, NY Daily News, and Business Insider. To this day there are still phone calls from members of the public asking about future plans to put together another ‘Park Here’ event.
